amiraThere are as many reasons to learn to belly dance, as there are women who want to learn this ancient dance.

The physical benefits are many and varied, as the dance gently tones while encouraging both flexibility and endurance.

The dance is an ideal outlet for self-expression, allowing a woman to express all facets of her personality - the sensual, the serious, and the playful.

In addition there are spiritual benefits as the dance connects women to all the women before who have enjoyed this life affirming art form.

"Through this goddess dance I can express myself as a servant or a queen, vigorous woman or an innocent child, agressive or tender, ruling or obeying, I am a fulfilled woman who makes choices, I give all I have in me and I am so happy." - Amira Mor

own unique style, using all different styles of music, and emphasizes listening and feeling.  You will also learn how to use zills (finger cymbals) and veil as part of these classes. It is high energy and very exciting.  When it is slow, it is the slowest, that is when we focus on feeling, start with technique and move to feeling.  Looking deep within and growing slowly into true and independent self expression.  Amira teaches stage presence, correct postures and walking like you own the world.

Dress Code: For beginners it is alright to come with ANYTHING YOU WANT as long as you comfortable moving. In class you can purchases what ever you need whenever you need it. Advanced students required finger cymbals and veil to start with. All can be purchased on line or in class.  Shoes are very important (Amira recommends more than anything for safety beauty and comfort and to skirt veil hip scarves tops finger cymbals and more).

Amira Mor wishes to dance with you in her classes, wishing you a year full of music and dance!

"Don't ever stop dancing, it's a matter of the soul!"
