About the Author
Amira Mor is an author, creator, entrepreneur, and internationally recognized performer whose work explores awareness, choice, identity, love, healing, and personal transformation.
For more than four decades, movement was both Amira Mor’s profession and one of her greatest teachers.
As a dancer, choreographer, director, producer, entrepreneur, and fitness creator, she built an international career that took her around the world and brought her into contact with people from every walk of life. Through those experiences, she explored not only movement itself but the deeper questions of what it means to live fully, connect deeply, and create a meaningful life.
Amira is the founder of The Amira Mor International Entertainment Company and the creator of a 15-volume dance and fitness DVD series. Her career has included choreographing New York City Ballet dancers at Lincoln Center, entertaining U.S. troops in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, performing with renowned artists and public figures, appearing in film, including Sex and the City 2, and being featured in major publications such as The New York Times, The New York Post, Vogue, Elle, and W.
Yet behind the performances, accomplishments, and constant movement, a deeper journey was unfolding.
Years of success, love, loss, reinvention, and self-discovery gradually led her toward the questions that now shape her writing: Who are we beneath our stories? How much of our lives are we consciously choosing? And what becomes possible when awareness begins to replace autopilot?
These questions became the foundation of her book, The Life You Choose, and continue to inspire her reflections today.
Now living a life of travel, exploration, writing, teaching, and continual reinvention, Amira shares reflections on awareness, freedom, healing, and the small choices that ultimately shape the course of a life.
